Happy Month of LOVE Dear Friends!

I hope this month’s newsletter finds you healthy and happy. If you wonder how one can be happy with so much misery, uncertainty, and anxiety going on around us, I say just breathe.

That’s all you need to be happy. Everything else is an illusion. Do not fall prey to the noise and distractions around you. As long as you can breathe, as long as you can receive and give love freely, as long as you can be who you truly are, then you are happy. Happiness and Love cannot be defined in words. Nor can they be measured using our senses. Happiness and Love are states of being that are a part of who we are. You do not need to search for them outside of you. No one can give them to you either. All you need is to remember your true nature. Remember your divinity, your sacredness and that is your path to happiness and to self-love.

We are in the final stage of the 40-Day Meditation Challenge. An amazing group of souls gather from New York, California, Atlanta and Beirut, every day at the same time. We move, we breathe, we relax, we focus, and then sit quietly in meditation. Saturday will be our thirtieth consecutive day of meditation! We have grounded in the past thirty days and now we are ready to fly. I am very proud of those who joined me on this amazing Roots and Wings journey. The results are so tangible that I will be offering the challenge again next year around the same time. We are also considering starting a Meditation Group that meets on a regular basis. ·      The Omkara Community is growing thanks to YOU. I appreciate you and I look forward to every class that brings us together in community even if it is online. I continue to offer three classes per week on the Omkara union.fit platform. Join me when you can and bring your friends and loved ones with you.

Octavia Nasr's yoga practice began seventeen years ago and has been evolving since. Her dedication is expressed through a daily sadhana that includes asana (poses), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. She considers yoga to be a gift of peace and non-harming that has nurtured her when she was consumed by a high profile job, and through every thick and thin of life to date.
